Viro won the fourth Golden plaque

Virovitica, December 10, 2010 – Croatian Chamber of the Economy – County Chamber Virovitica awarded Viro sugar factory with Golden plaque for the most successful large company in Virovitičko-podravska County in last year.
The most significant annual award of CCE is additional confirmation of successful business activities of Viro Sugar Factory and its contribution to Virovitica –Podravina County development, as well as to the entire Croatian economy.
Since its privatization in 2002, the factory achieves continuous growth of business and profit. In the past several years more than HRK 300 million was invested in modernization making Viro the most modern sugar factory in Croatia.
«The fourth Golden plaque is a confirmation of persistence in our successful business activities, which made Viro Sugar Factory one of the greatest exporters in food industry. However, we are aware that there is always some additional space for further growth and development; so our ambitions are reaching far beyond our region’s boundaries», stated Ivan Duvnjak, Sales Manager Viro sugar factory.
Continuous investments in employees’ education, modernization and capacity expansion made the factory one of the most profitable companies of Croatian food industry, and one of the greatest Croatian exporters.
