The area in which sugar beet is produced this year has the surface of 11.000 acres, and the current state of crop is good, so we expect the same, or even higher yield that the last, record year.
With regard to technologic measures, we have to take care of preserving the crops during the entire vegetation period. Additional foliar nutrition of sugar beet must be performed in June, by boron and other foliar fertilizers. In July and August the sugar beet needs to be protected from Cercospora Beticola. This should be done in cooperation with Viro’s agronomists.
